Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
